There was some bug or something that has changed my homepage and search engine to s.coldsearch.com. I was not able to change it back to default; it kept on reappearing. Then I noticed I had an extension for Chrome called ColdSearch – I removed it, and the problem was solved. However, after PC reboot, it keeps reappearing inside chrome?? How is that possible? Can I remove it?

We are glad you have contacted us for help! Coldsearch is a known hijacker that is spreading inside other software installers. For example, if you have installed new freeware software recently, such as PDF creators, codec packs, media players, download accelerators, you could have installed additional software on your computer that you know nothing about. And you did give consent to install it! Usually, all agreements to third party applications are hidden inside Custom or Advanced installation sections. It is also quite hard to remove it by hand! What you can try is to follow these instructions. However, we highly recommend scanning your PC with a good antispyware application, like SpyHunter, since you might have even more malicious software laying on your computer somewhere, and SpyHunter, will find it.
