Let’s not get into detail how I got infected with the Purge virus but “.purge” extensions are now all over my PC and so-marked files are now completely inaccessible… How do I deal with this issue? How do I remove Purge encryption? I would appreciate your suggestions and recommendations

we are sorry to hear your files have been affected by the Purge virus. Ransomware infection is a very bad sign, most of the time. These viruses are especially malicious and the files recovery is possible only in rare cases. Unfortunately, but currently there is no Purge decryption tool that you could use to safely recover the encrypted data. This means that you are left with two options:
-taking a risk and paying up the criminals to grant you the access
-or choosing a safer path and simply removing the virus from the computer.
We highly recommend choosing the latter. It takes no extra skills to remove Purge from the computer and all you have to do is initiate a full system scan using some reputable antivirus utility, for instance, FortectIntego. For the file recovery, you can also try using such utilities as PhotoRec, R-Studio or Kaspersky.
