After recently being infected with FBI virus on Linux Mint12, and operating a dual boot with Win8 and having 17 partitions on a 2TB HD, how can I assure there is no contamination or damage on the other 16 remaining partitions, 3 partitions being Windows?

just like we said, you should try to scan your Windows drive for viruses using Linux. For that, you should try to mount windows drive in any linux distribution and launch your Linux anti-virus to scan that mounted drive. Our recommended scanners are: ESET NOD32 Antivirus 4 for Linux, Avast for Linux, ClamAV or Bitdefender.
Good luck!
