I think I have been infected with Shark virus. First I have noticed that I cannot access my data and then the ransom note popped up asking me to pay $150 in order to get my files back. I’m not even planning to pay up. I need to find some other way to remove Shark and recover my files. I’d appreciate if you game me some recommendations

there are several ways you can try recover your encrypted data, but we must remind you not to expect a lot from them. The virus uses a very strong encryption algorithm which can only be decrypted using a private key which is, unfortunately, in the hands of the cyber criminals. We do not recommend paying up because you might simply be scammed. Instead, remove Shark from your computer using some sophisticated antivirus equipment like SpyHunter 5 and make sure the virus is not posing threat to your future files anymore. After you are done with the removal, you can head straight to the data recovery. For that, use software like PhotoRec, R-Studio or Kaspersky virus-fighting utilities. Good luck!
