Hi, I have been using my friend’s computer for a while and I accidentally installed Searchguide Level 3 virus on it. How can I remove Searchguide Level 3 virus and clean up details that would allow him understand that I have downloaded this cr4p into his computer? How can I be sure that the computer is virus-free? I feel so bad. Please reply!

Searchguide Level 3 virus can be downloaded alongside freeware. After being installed on the system, it changes user's homepage address on every browser to Searchguide.level3.com. There are two different ways how you can exclude this browser hijacker from the system. You can follow instructions provided in this post (Searchguide level 3 removal guide) and uninstall it manually. Also, you can use anti-malware software installed on your computer or install a new one and delete the virus automatically. Make sure you update the anti-malware software before scanning the system with it!
