I have a server 2008 R2 that got infected with [lavandos@dr.com].wallet. We restored backup and installed malwarebytes and MB Antiransomware. But the virus came back.
ANy ideas how this got through w MBAM running

This virus is a new variation of crypto-ransomware called Dharma ransomware. Most likely, the databases of current anti-spyware programs are not updated yet so the application might have overlooked some registry files which explains why the virus reinfected the device. Alternatively, if a portable data storage device such as USB stick was attached during the infection process, the virus might have assaulted the computer again. At the moment, try updating your Malwarebytes and run the scan. If it does not help, the only viable method is to reinstall the operating system.
