Description: This is a part of support software, which comes preinstalled on some Dell and Hewlett-Packard computers. This software is published by Motive company. It was designed to ease the technical support of computer and its software. Dell and Hewlett-Packard use Motive Monitor to receive service requests from the users via the Internet. You can use Motive Monitor to describe your problem and submit it. An answer should come quickly. As you can see, Motive Monitor is really useful tool. Although it starts automatically on Windows startup and stays in background, you should not disable it. However, if you are sure, that you do not need any technical support from computer's manufacturer, then you can terminate motmon.exe process and prevent it from starting automatically. Such actions are not recommended, though.
