Description: Windows Media Player is a versatile multimedia player, published by Microsoft Corporation. It usually comes with Windows operating system. It plays audio, video files and other media. File mplayer.exe is its main executable component. The presence of loaded mplayer.exe process means, that you have opened media files or have started Windows Media Player manually. Do not kill mplayer.exe. It doesn't start automatically on system startup or hide from a user. However, in some cases, the presence of running mplayer.exe may indicate, that your computer is infected with a virus (Some parasites contain malicious files with the same name). Use antivirus or spyware removal tools, if you are suspicious about mplayer.exe
