Its default location is "%SYSTEMROOT%\system32". On some machines, GEARSecurity can not be started up due to some uncertain compability problems.

This stinks I install winxp sp2 to stay up to date install mcafee virus scan which I have always used, to stay up to date. And I get a message from gearsec.exe that it will close .... which has to do with go.. knows how many programs. Mcafee has always worked and is free should I switch?
