Spyaxe in my Tray

I have followed the instructions to rid myself of Spyaxe, but it keeps showing up in my tray saying that my computer is infected. Anyone know how to get rid of it?

Hi, jaxon. Welcome to 2-Spyware.com forums!

To completely get rid of the SpyAxe trojan you need to reboot your system into theSafe Mode and only then proceed with the removal. Although you really can remove most SpyAxe components while in Windows normal mode, some objects will not be deleted, and they may reinstall the trojan later.

Please note that another variant of SpyAxe gone wild. It displays a slightly different advertisement (a tooltip/balloon in the system tray) and uses the ioctrl.dll file instead of svchosts.dll. You could miss this library, so please revisit updated SpyAxe removal instructions.
