SpyAxe Removed--Still Can't Access Internet

I spent over an hour last night manually removing SpyAxe from my home computer, but something is preventing me from accessing the internet and I suspect SpyAxe is still active somewhere. When I click on the Internet Explorer icon the hourglass icon appears briefly and then nothing else happens. Any suggestions on what I should do? Keep in mind I can't access the internet from the affected computer and I'm not very computer saavy although the guy walking me through the process last night is an MCSE. Thanks in advance.

I need more details on your problem. It can be caused not only by SpyAxe, but also other parasites your system might be infected with. Please download the HijackThis program, run a scan and post a fresh log here.
