Don't know how, but my PC got infected with da*n Brave Sentry (nothing brave about this malware, but nevermind...). Anyways, with things I know and following your advices on Removal I've managed to take over come controls of my PC but I can't seem to get rid of the stupid pop-up window in my taskbar. I just might have some other problems still, but I haven't looked deeply.
This is my HJT log, and I'm asking for your help and advice. Thanks in advance.

Hello, visitor!

The Hijack This log analyzer has analyzed your log. Please take a closer look on the results.

Your log does not indicate any spyware or virus infection. However, there are some entries that you might want to fix. Please follow the steps below.

The following entries are not malicious, but some of them are not used anymore. You may use HijackThis to fix a few of them. However, please keep in mind that some of the entries marked as Questionable or Not Needed are fully legitimate and might be required by installed software to work properly, while some others might be related to certain parasites. It is up to you to decide whether you need any of them, or not.

Hi FlowerFairy. Welcome to the 2-Spyware.com forums!

Please follow these steps:

1. Use HijackThis to fix the following entries:
R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page =
R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbar,LinksFolderName =
R3 - Default URLSearchHook is missing

2. Download the SmitFraudFix tool.

3. Now restart your system in Safe Mode. This step is very important!

4. Once in Safe Mode, run the SmitFraudFix scan. The SmitFraudFix guide can be found on the official web site.

5. After you get done, restart your computer, run new HijackThis scan and post a fresh log here.

I don't wanna go offtopic but I can't seem to download SmitFraudFix. When I do it says it's not valid Win32 application and when I look it seem to have 0 bytes!?!?! What's wrong?
I should probably say that I've, at first ,downloaded it but it missed some process.exe or something like that (can't remember exactly what it said), so I deleted the folder and tried again. But then it just downloads SmitFraudFix.exe without the rest of the folder I saw the first time?! Help! Sad

Hi FlowerFairy

Creating a report is not necessary, but recommended.

As for downloading, try different web browser. I can download SmitFraudFix with no problems at all. If you get the 0 bytes file, this means that the download is incomplete. It did not finish. Try again. The link is here: http://siri.urz.free.fr/Fix/SmitfraudFix.exe

Hello, GTO.

I know I'm borring but please help me.
I've downloaded the zip file again and when I unpack it I don't have SmitfraudFix.exe, only thing remotely resembling is SmitfraudFix.cmd and when I try to open that one it says:

SmitFraudFix v2.186

Fichier Process.exe absent !
Dezippez la totalité de l'archive dans un dossier.

Process.exe file missing !
Unzip all the archive in a folder.

Press any key to continue . . .

As for downloading .exe from different browser, I've tried to do it from Opera but it won't work. Every time it goes up to 99% and just stop. Again 0 bytes appear.
****
Ok,latest news...  Had to edit my post to say that after 15 (or so) attempts to download .exe I think I did it. But... Again it says it's not win32 app, so I've moved .exe to previosly downloaded zip folder that didn't have .exe. Hoped that will work ,but again -nothing. The window won't even open. Or should I say it opens for half of second. What's wrong? Am I the person with the worst luck in the world or what?

Hi FlowerFairy

The only file you download is SmitFraudFix.exe.  There are no Zip files. You are doing something wrong.

If you cannot download the file, try scanning your system with the RogueRemover program. Its review and download link is here.

Thak you for your patience and answers.

Followed your advice but RogueRemover found nothing, so I guess that's not working.

Do you have any idea what am I doing wrong with SmitFraud? It's downloaded now, but when I click on it (to make that report) it opens for a split of second and it closes imediatelly. No text appears at all. Maybe I'm missing some other program or something?
And another thing; when I go to RUN AS... a message appears saying(I'll try to type everything exactly):
title - 16 bit MS-DOS Subsystem
......
A temporary file needed for initialization could not be created or could not be written to.Make sure that the directory path exists, and disk space is available.

Hi FlowerFairy

Try starting your system in Safe Mode with Networking Support. Download SmitFraudFix once again and run it. Please let me know if this works.
