Hi Im reem and I have some real issues with my laptop. I downloaded a file from what I thought was a reputable site and since then here is waht is going wrong.

I tried to download highjack this but everytime I do Im directed to a broken link page or and ad for syware removal. The browser will let me search but wont let me view most pages with out having them cached. I thought maybe it could be isp or server issue regarding the downlaods but I can download things just fine through my rapidshare acct. Another thing is after I'm online for a while the toolbar and start menu vanish and so do the icons on my desktop.  So anyone who can help me I would more than greatly appreciate it.

hello there,
as you can't download hijackthis and other program on your computer, i suggest you download some antispyware on another computer and put the install on usb key or cd and then bring the install on your computer. i assume you need antispyware because mcaffee (antivirus) wasn't able to help you. we offer several free antispyware tools on this website, you can find those right here : http://www.2-spyware.com/compare2.php.

after many tried and failed attempts I managed to put a copy of hijackths on my laptop frm a friend using limewire. I had a copy of panda antivirus 08 also added but for some reason the computer wont let me update it,it woundlt even let me save it to the laptop until I renamed it. :x

Also my note wouldnt open keep saying something with the ancronym D.e,p or something of that sort. I have these annoying tabs added to my start menu for malware protector 2008 added and a blue screen saver stating spyware has been dectected on my computer.

i see that you won't be able to use security tool properly as malware protector 2008 limits your internet and you can't get the latest updates. so i suggest you remove malware protector 2008 manually using this tutorial : http://www.2-spyware.com/remove-malware-protector-2008.html and if your computer still acts weird, post new hijackthis log at this forum section : http://www.2-spyware.com/forum/forum8
