HELP ME
hi everybody, i downloaded active x by mistake, it was a virus, spyware or trojan. after that everything became horrible in my laptop. this is what happend to my computer:

1) when i click start button, most of the list disappeared, like thease : (programs, search, run).

2) the(my computer) icon in the descktop disappeared, but i found a way to go to (my computer) through one of the folders in descktop. when i went to my computer, the C drive disapeared, there is no c drive. i dont know? is it deleted or hidden? because when i scanned my laptop for spywares, i found that it was scanning C drive also, so could it be hidden? i hope that.

3) the descktop wallpaper changed to a hacker red wallpaper, which is clickable, when you click in the wallpaper, a web page opens. The wallpaper showing this (protect your privacy by downloading...etc).

4) there was a fake alarms showing that my computer under attack and i have to download some antivirus.

i did the following to solve the problem but with no result:
i used counterspy to scan and remove trojan, many trojan were found and deleted, some of them was as follow, but i am not sure about the spelling (mutant trojan, fake alarm trojan, ....).  Even after deleting these, still c drive can't be seen, and start button not showing the same above mentioned list. There was only one benifit after deleting, which is the wallpaper returns to normal. but after connecting to the internet, all the trojans comes again (without doing anything, only after connecting to the internet, it was like downloading trojan without my knowledge). And again i do scanning and i find the same prevous trojan which have been deleted.

pleassssssssssssssssssssse   HELP ME, what should i do?

sorry for the long post
thank you very much

hello there,
obviously counterspy is not able to delete all the infections you got. i recommend you try some other anti-spyware as well. we have some free downloads on this website right here :http://www.2-spyware.com/compare2.php . i suggest you install some other software besides counterspy, update it and run a scan. i recommend malwarebyte's antimalware as i use it myself and it proved to be helpful over time.
let us know how the things go

edited: if the infection is still there after you run another scan, please create another topic on this forum section : http://www.2-spyware.com/forum/forum8 and post your hijackthis log.

I reccomend Spyware Doctor and Malwarebytes’ Anti-malware as ultimate protection.
