I tried looking through a number of pages of this forum and couldn't find anything tackling it...I have braviax stuck on my system. I specifically bought Spyware Doctor to get rid of it, as it boasted it could easily do, and after numerous scans and cleans, it's still there. So SD is not getting rid of it properly. It seems to detect it in the scan, and says that it's "fixing" it, but isn't cleaning it as it should.

To clarify, braviax is the trojan/spyware (not sure what to classify it as) that appears in the system try as a large red circle with a white X through it and constantly pops up messages about the computer being infected, click to download protection, etc.

Can anyone tell me how to successfully get rid of this infection? Thanks in advance.

hello,
if spyware doctor detects braviax, it should remove it as well. is your SD updated? there's also a possibility that you use some other software that you find legitimate but it reinstalls braviax or you may visit some malicious website regularly and get infected again and again. of course there's also a possibility that spyware doctor can't deal with braviax for some reason. i recommend you removing braviax files manually, just follow this tutorial : http://www.2-spyware.com/remove-braviax.html

I reccomend Spyware Doctor and Malwarebytes’ Anti-malware as ultimate protection.

I would recommend downloading   auturuns and procexp.exe from sysinternals , c cleaner , spybot and Malwarebytes.

I have had only one instance to have to remove this trojan, I am not certain its entirely removed , however the persons Pc I removed it from appears to be clean.

Hope this helps
