Question

My computer has recently come down with the Spy Sheriff Spyware.  I've been reading a few threads and such about it.  I downloaded Spyware Doctor and ran it through but it didn't get rid of anything at all.  Need I subscribe/purchase the anti spyware in order to receive its benefits or what?  Heck, I've even tried manually trying to get rid of the thing, but it looks like I got rid of the stupid pop-up that says "You're Infected!"

Help would be most appreciated.

I only remembered that Spyware Doctor needs to be registered (bought basically) to get rid of infected objects.

Why not try Microsoft Windows AntiSpyware (Beta)? or Ad Aware? They are free, and able to delete infected objects.

Free program doest mean the best program. MS antispyware and Adaware (free version) finds some parasites, but it cant be compared to some commercial products like spyware doctor. It is better, finds more infections, and adds new parasites much faster than the free ones.
