Need help badly, virus has limited my options

this virus will not let me system restore.
-yes, i checked and it is not disabled, and yes there is several saved restore points i can choose. but nothing happens when i click "next" after i choose a date.

this virus will not let me update any of my spyware programs and has blocked some spyware websites so that i cant download them such as malware bites
-internet works
-had a friend send me the malwarebite and hijackthis programs but when i click to open them.....nothing happens 0_o
seems like a very very smart virus

downloaded avg and it found 3 trojan horse back doors which i then deleted
but the problems i listed above are still present.

OH and also, i have that stupid fake spyguard program constantly poping up.
i could not find it in task manager. only thing under "s"  are a bunch of scvhost.exe's
i manually deleted the spyguard folder

i went to "run" and typed msconfig to see the startups, and i found 1 start up that looked fishy because it was BLANK, it had no name. so i unchecked it and restarted

then i got the shutdown message. that it will shutdown in 1 minute.
my comp froze during the shutdown so i pressed the button and started the pc back up

when i did that the spyguard redownloaded onto my pc.
i scanned with avg again, it found nothing.
ad aware will not update
spybot search & destroy will not install.

i tried doing all this in safemode and its the same thing.

what can i do!!

      I have the exact same problem  -- Plus I have downloaded anti virus -- eg AVG --StopZilla

but they will not run or install -- please help == I have deleted the registry entries

and all of what the other guy has done -- next step rebuild
