I seem to find myself in the same situation.  I have deleted all offending files, but unable to run regedit, task manager, or even install software to remove it.  Unless there is a majic solution I will have to reinstall OS.

5 hours I fought with this....   Finally found a way to stop the flicker of the program....  Held Control Alt Delete and the control would flash on and off....   Adjusted the mouse and hit OK on end program while it was strobing... It Stopped the Sys 2009 program and a quick scan with Mal-ware(sp?) and it found the infected files and removed them...

NO more looking at unknown MOVIES for me.....   5 hours......

Hi holeking,

please download automatic System Security 2009 remover: http://www.2-spyware.com/remove-system-security-2009.html
Don't forget to rename sdsetup.exe before saving it on to your computer, for example 123.exe
Run the automatic remover, it should be able to remove this parasite.

I tried renaming PCDoctor and such programmes and I tried to delete the files manually.
The newest version of system security has files under a different name.

Did anyone tried to negotiate with system security yet? It seems like they are very powerfull having a technological advantage and not being thrown in jail for this scam. Would they be willing to remove their software if I pay for a package?

I tried to install various anti-viruses in a safe mode, but installation doesn't pick up. In normal mode I can't do anytghing. The virus completely blocks any trial to run or open anything. I ran Kaspersky, it found 3-4 files. I deleted them manually- still no results. Any ideas?

If anyone knows where the System Security creators live please let me know.  I want to go have a word with them.  What a bunch human waste they are.  That is so evil doing what they do.  I hope the government catches them.  America is such a freakng police state, but they don't arrest the System Security bastards.  What a world!

Total security removal was a very time consuming event. But I did it! The install got so bad that it wouldn't let you do anything except buy thier program. 12 hours later, I right clicked the icon for total security, opened  the properties, and looked at where the exe file was located. it was a numbered file folder "13591094" inside the folder I found the Icon with a 13591094.exe file. I changed the last number in the folder and exe file. rebooted the computer. The computer came up to where I could run SpyBot S&D. cleaned it out.
