Ok, here's the brief story. I wanted to watch a particular episode of a well-know t.v. programme, so I found a link ( http://newtvset.com/broadcast/?d=Hell%27s%20Kitchen%20Season%206%20Episode%2010 ) . Beneath the video it said if it didn't work install the recommended codec, so as it popped up I clicked ok and that.... then realised it was an .exe file... mbamsetup.exe, or the like, which contained the dreaded Security Soldier. I know.... was stupid of me, but hadn't slept in ages after a day travelling across the globe. I reported the page to Norton.

I googled Security Soldier removal and found your site, with the detailed removal instructions. I tried the step by step, however found the uninstal.exe was not present to be removed in the task manager, and the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\Root\LEGACY_SECURITYSOLDIERSVC was not available to delete from my registry. I then got annoyed with the continual fake warning popups so I clicked on the removal tool for Security Soldier which turned out to be Spyware Doctor.

All from this page:

http://www.2-spyware.com/remove-security-soldier.html

So I ran Spyware Doctor free version and found various threats etc., and then I paid my 30 euros and ran Spyware Doctor fix programme... but no joy. So I ran the full scan and it says I'm clean. But the bloody Security Soldier is still blasting me with annoying fake warnings every 2 minutes. Am going insane. PLEASE help me. Any suggestions are much appreciated! Thanks in advance- loops

Hello loopstheloop and welcome to the 2-spyware.com

Please update Spyware Doctor and scan your computer again. If that won't help, download MalwareBytes anti-malware. It's free and quite effective spyware removal tool.

Note: update MalwareBytes anti-malware.

Good luck!
