I have spent the last 48 hours trying to get rid of this fake Trojan without buying any new software. I also tried doing it by myself using instructions found on the Internet. Nothing worked! Only one of the software packages that I investigated could even tell that I had been infected and I have been told that after some folks bought it it didn't remove or fix the problem. So, I did the next, or last, thing possible. I called Microsoft toll free at 1-800-936-5700. Ask for the PCCC Section. The expert there (actually there were two of them) spent an hour and a half getting rid of the Trojan for me. And I learned a lot as well. He said that this particular Trojan was giving them fits as well because it was changing so often. One method I tried to get rid of it was to do a system restore. But for some reason my system had quit saving restore points. Now I know why. I had been infected once before with this particular little bit of nastyness and had used system restore to fix it. Apparently a lot of people were. So the inventors of this little bug fixed their software so that when it attacks your system, it disables you machines ability to save restore points so you will be able to fix it the first time but the next time you won't. Neat huh? Anyhow I was so prou8d of myself for finally getting it fixed, I just had to tell someone. Hopefully it will help the next guy who gets attacked by this atrocious little monster..

Best,
