Hello, visitor!

The Hijack This log analyzer has analyzed your log. Please take a closer look on the results.

Your log does not indicate any spyware or virus infection. However, there are some entries that you might want to fix. Please follow the steps below.

The following entries are not malicious, but some of them are not used anymore. You may use HijackThis to fix a few of them. However, please keep in mind that some of the entries marked as Questionable or Not Needed are fully legitimate and might be required by installed software to work properly, while some others might be related to certain parasites. It is up to you to decide whether you need any of them, or not.

I was going to try that, but it keeps failing to update. Bear with me and I will get it sorted.

Thanks Smiley

OK. You may also use MalwareBytes' anti-malware if the problem with Spyware Doctor persists.

Ran in safemode and could update it... I've now scanned with both SD and MalwareBytes and it found nothing more than Advertising Cookies... But my Hijack This log still shows bad stuff, and my PC is slower?

Am I just being paranoid, normally my Hijack This log shows clean, I can't think of any changes that would have caused it not to be.

Thanks.

Run CCleaner, delete unnecessary files and registry entries. Then post a new HijacThis log.

What OS do you have? Is it Windows Vista or Windows 7? If you have Windows 7 then I think the log looks fine as HijackThis wrongly identifies some entries. If not then there might be a hidden malicious file on your system. The best thing you can do in such case is to use ESET NOD32 Antivirus 4.
http://www.eset.com/products/nod32.php

You may use it for free (30 days trial). I know that you have Kaspersky Internet Security, but I really recommend you to scan your PC with NOD32. (You may just uninstall Kaspersky for couple of hours, scan PC with NOD32, remove infections if NOD32 detects any and then install Kaspersky again if you wish to keep it).

Good luck!

Thanks for your help... ran ESET, found nothing.

Been using Windows 7 for months and its only since the slowdown these potentially bad entries have appeared.

I'm confussed.

Download RootRepeal from http://ad13.geekstogo.com/RootRepeal.rar
Run RootRepeal, choose "Report" tab from the menu and press "Scan".
In prompted window select all 7 boxes and then all local drives in the next window.
Post the scan log here. Maybe there are hidden process or files that may cause PC slow down.

And maybe a System Restore would help you to solve the problem? Try to restore your system to an earlier time when your PC was running normally.

GMER runs on Vista, so maybe it is compatible with Windows 7 too. Try to use this one instead of RootRepeal. http://www.gmer.net

And how about doing a System Restore? Sometimes it helps Smiley
