Hello,

You may try:
1. Boot your computer is Safe Mode With Networking.
Please read here how to do that: http://www.computerhope.com/issues/chsafe.htm
2. Boot into Diagnostic Mode.
Start>>Run. In Run type "msconfig" (without the quotes), click OK
In the "General" tab under "Startup Selection" check the "Diagnostic Startup" radial button, click "Apply" then "OK".

Good luck!

My computer has been infected by this as well. Any and all antiviruses I install are blocked, and my current antivirus, Verizon Security Suite, can't detect there's even a problem even after a 4 HOUR scan. I went into Safe Mode, but I have no idea what to do beyond that. Safe Mode prevents me from accessing the internet so I can't install/use any antiviruses. What should I do?

How do I get into diagnostic mode?

Hello oby100,

You have to select "Safe Mode with Networking" from the list when you press "F8 key" instead of "Safe Mode" only. Otherwise you can't download anything from the Internet. More info here: http://www.computerhope.com/issues/chsafe.htm

Boot into Diagnostic Mode:
1. Press Start->Run
2. Input "msconfig" (without the quotes), click OK
3. In the "General" tab under "Startup Selection" check the "Diagnostic Startup" radial button, click "Apply" then "OK". Restart PC.

Good luck!

Hi,i also have been affected by antivirus live. I restarted my computer to enter safe mode but i must have downloaded a stronger version because i cannot start up my computer in any mode... i have tried safe mode, sm with networking, sm with cmd prompt, and start windows normally. Ive tried letting my comp time out to start up automatically but each attempt reboots my computer and im forced to select a mode again i am on my phone now. Any advice??

EDIT: Nevermind. The virus is gone either from your methods or from my second scan with verizon security suite in safe mode.

Thanks for your help.

Hello wildman,

You can create a free bootable rescue disk if you have another PC. It might help.
Read more here: http://www.techmixer.com/avira-antivir-rescue-disk-download-to-clean-virus-and-malware/

If you have any questions don't hesitate and ask. Good luck!
