Hi all,

I'm at my brothers place and his laptop has been hijacked by antivir spyware. I have been trying to get rid of it but it keeps shutting down all applications that I try to run. When I try and run task manager it shuts that down same as regedit, pretty much any system tools that would be helpful, can't get online as it will not open up saying site is dangerous.

The laptop is running vista, I'm haven't played around much with vista do if anyone has any help would be great.

Hello Lee,

First of all, read this Antivir removal guide carefully http://www.2-spyware.com/remove-antivir.html

If you can't follow those instructions then reboot your computer in Safe Mode with Networking and download Spyware Doctor http://www.pctools.com/downloads/afl_2-spyware/sdsetup.exe

Install the program, update it and run a full system scan.

This happened to me too but mine started with the links being directed to Tazinga first then when I look to delete that, Antivir started up.  I ran the Malwarebytes program and removed the infected files but that didn't help at all.  I tried to do it manually but all of the listed files were deleted already.  I have Windows 7.  What do I do??

Please help!
