I recently defraged my computer and when it was done it told me a number of files could not be defraged. it said the files were located in Progam Files\Webpoint\Cache however when I went to program files I couldn't find a folder called "Webpoint" so I typed it into the address bar and then windows told me it was unable to locate the folder. I know it is there because the defragmenter told me it was, and yet the folder is nowhere to be found. The name "Webpoint" sounds suspiciously like spyware, and my suspiscion is highted by the fact that the folder seems to not exist. Any advice??

Hi, Commas.

This folder might be hidden and inaccessible. Try restarting your system into Safe Mode and locating this folder.

What defragmenter did you use? Was it Windows standard Disk Defragmenter? It could also be a mistake - sometimes files do not exist, but their details are still in the file system.

I did use the standard Windows Disk Defragmenter, and I tried restarting in safemode and indeed the file showed up in safe mode. however, now that i have found the folder i'm still not sure what it does exactly.

Hi, Commas.

Unfortunately, I didn't see any software products with the Webpoint name. However, I know that there are a few different programs called WebPoint. From what I know, all of them are legitimate, and the C:\Program Files\Webpoint directory itself is not installed by any widely spread spyware parasites.
