Hi, mikelcch. Welcome to 2-Spyware.com forums!

Please follow these steps:

1. Download the Pocket KillBox utility.

2. Use HijackThis to fix the following entries:
O2 - BHO: DosSpecFolder Object - {3E1BEA96-02D9-4992-B508-9B51819D9D86} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\xxyww.dll
O4 - Global Startup: Bluetooth Manager.lnk = ?
O18 - Protocol: msnim - {828030A1-22C1-4009-854F-8E305202313F} - "C:\PROGRA~1\MSNMES~1\msgrapp.dll" (file missing)
O20 - Winlogon Notify: xxyww - C:\WINDOWS\system32\xxyww.dll

3. Now restart your system in Safe Mode.

4. Use Pocket KillBox to delete the following file:
C:\WINDOWS\system32\xxyww.dll

5. Then reboot your computer. Download a trial version of the ewido anti-malware program, install it and run complete system scan. Remove all the threats ewido anti-malware will find.

6. After you get done, please run a new HijackThis log scan and post your log here.

Hi GTO, thanks for the tips, I really appreciate your help... but it is still not working...

I've tried to kill the file, delete on boot but nothing works...the pop up still states the file could not be deleted...is there any other way?

Don't mean to jump your post GTO but I just wonder if the originial Kill Box written by
Merijn himself is a better app?
It's always worked for me without fail even on the old Vundo/Winfixer mess.
If you want to give it a go, you can download it Here.
Just double click the KillBox.exe type the full path of the file to delete and click the "Kill" button.
If you continue having problems, do this:
Click start-->run
then in the run box type or copy and paste the following:
%temp%
then click "ok".
When the temp folder opens delete everything in there that windows will allow.  Reboot and try
GTO's instructions again.

Good Luck.
Regards,

Hi, 1972vet.

In my opinion, Pocket KillBox and Merijin's original KillBox are equal tools. I've almost forgot about the original one, as I usually use Pocket KillBox myself, and it always worked for me . Well, it can be possible that the Merijin's application is better. I just never compared them  .

Next time, I'll give links to both tools. Thank you for the reminder.

Good Luck

Hi, mikelcch.

Sad to hear it Sad. Please try this:

1. Download a variant of the VundoFix tool. Then double-click on the downloaded file. This will unpack VundoFix files.

2. Now reboot your system into Safe Mode. This step is very important!

3. Once in Safe Mode, open the VundoFix folder and execute the KillVundo.bat file.
* You will be presented with a warning. At this point press enter.
* Then you will be asked to type in the filepath as instructed by the forum staff.
At this point type in this:
C:\WINDOWS\system32\xxyww.dll. Press enter, then the F6 key.
* Now you should be asked to type in the second path as instructed by the forum staff.
At this point type in this: C:\WINDOWS\system32\wwyxx*.*. Press enter, then the F6 key. Press enter one more time. Now the fix should run.

4. Then VundoFix should launch the HijackThis program. If it does not open automatically, please run it manually. Use HijackThis to fix the following entry:
O20 - Winlogon Notify: xxyww - C:\WINDOWS\system32\xxyww.dll

5.. After you get done, restart your computer, run a new HijackThis scan and post a fresh log here.
