How do I get rid of Spybotter/spyspotter?

SpySpotter or SpyBotter keeps popping up saying new programs are running on my pc and shouldI  block or allow. This so called security software installed itself and I cannot uninstall it no matter what I do. I go to control panel to get rid of it but it says cannot open install.exe. I defrag, get rid of temp files, run Mc affee on it and restart my pc but it KEEPS coming back. How on earth DO I get rid of this nuisance?

Many thanks to GTO re how do I get rid of spyspotter. The HijackThis program download was successful and got rid of that pain. At least I HOPE so, it seems to of gone but I'll know for sure later when I open a new site. Thanks again.

So a message to fish who has the same problem, try GTO's help. :wink: The program will ask what you want it to do once dowloaded. I just went to the box that says, 'Do nothing,just open this program' It'll warn you about what you are about to do then come out with a list of programs you wan't to get rid of. Scroll down quite a way then you'll see the SpySpotter file. Check the square, confirm that you wan't rid and there you go. I really hope this works. Up to now I'm still nuisance free but I'm gonna re start my pc now and see what happens.

dusk33 is right. Just download the HijackThis program, run a system scan and post your log to a new topic in the HijackThis log analysis section. Automatic HijackThis Log Analyzer will check your log immediately. I will also take a look on it.

many,many thanks for the help iwill attempt this later,cant the authorities do something about spyspotter? its clearly deception,iassume it comes under the 1968 theft act,gaining procuniary advantage by deception.
