Hello, this computer is infect with STOPZILLA spyware,the screensaver is gone and the computer is VERY SLOW!.Well im asking you're guys help.Please thanks you sincerely.

Hi Barros.

Please do this:

1. Use HijackThis to fix the following entries:
R3 - Default URLSearchHook is missing
O2 - BHO: Class - {941764FF-D916-107B-D0F0-636788656B48} - C:\WINDOWS\wkxdq1.dll (file missing)

2. Download the trial version of AVG Anti-Spyware. Install the program, update its definitions and run a complete system scan. Remove all the threats the application will find.


P.S. This system is not up-to-date! You have to install Service Pack 2 for Microsoft Windows XP and Service Pack 2 for Microsoft Internet Explorer. Also apply all latest updates and security fixes.

Hi GTO, I installed the updates and did a scan with spysweeper, in which found alot of tracking cookies and many more, but then I had to pay, so I download ewido antyspyware and found 2 trojans and 3 adwares I deleted them but theres more in which spysweeper found. Also R3 - Default URLSearchHook is missing and O2 - BHO: Class - {941764FF-D916-107B-D0F0-636788656B48} - C:\WINDOWS\wkxdq1.dll (file missing)
keep coming back , i had to deleted everytime I restard, any suggestions?

Hi Barros.

Use HijackThis to fix the following entries:
O9 - Extra button: (no name) - {CD67F990-D8E9-11d2-98FE-00C0F0318AFE} - (no file)
O20 - Winlogon Notify: WRNotifier - WRLogonNTF.dll (file missing)

Then download the free version of SUPERAntiSpyware and run full system scan. This spyware remover is a bit more effective than AVG Anti-Spyware (formerly known as ewido Anti-Spyware). I think it should get rid of parasite remnants.

One more thing. Your last HijackThis log indicates that there is no Service Pack installed to the system. Windows XP was released back in 2001, SP1 - in 2002, and Service Pack 2 is avalaible since 2004. Needless to say that running 5 years old Windows without latest fixes and security patches is quite an insecure practice.
