I use Microsoft AntiSpyware as my primary anti-spyware program for more than 5 months now. I never had problems with it until yesterday. It appears that Microsoft AntiSpyware detects legit Apple QuickTime uninstaller (unvise32qt.exe) as spyware IBIS Toolbar. I scanned my computer using Spyware Doctor and eTrust PestPatrol - they both didn't find anything spyware-related. So, is this a real false positive or QuickTime has spyware in its code?

It looks like a false positive. I searched other forums for this problem and found several instances. You should update Microsoft AntiSpyware. This should solve your problem. QuickTime, as I know, is absolutely spyware-free.

Thanks for your reply. I updated Microsoft AntiSpyware and now problem is gone. I had to reinstall QuickTime, as during the last scan I removed unvise32qt.exe file. Microsoft AntiSpyware no longer detects it as spyware.
