Hello, visitor!
The Hijack This log analyzer has analyzed your log. Please take a closer look on the results.
Your system seems to be infected with malicious parasites. Please follow the steps below in order to eliminate the infection and clean up your computer.
1. Download the Pocket KillBox utility. You will need it later to delete parasite-related files and folders.
2. Use HijackThis to fix the following entries:
O3 - Toolbar: Protection Bar - {84938242-5C5B-4A55-B6B9-A1507543B418} - C:\Program Files\Video ActiveX Object\iesplugin.dll
3. The following entries are not malicious, but some of them are not used anymore. You may use HijackThis to fix a few of them. However, please keep in mind that some of the entries marked as Questionable or Not Needed are fully legitimate and might be required by installed software to work properly, while some others might be related to certain parasites. It is up to you to decide whether you need any of them, or not.

4. Now restart your system in Safe Mode. This step is very important!
5. Use the Pocket KillBox utility to delete the following files:
C:\Program Files\Video ActiveX Object\isamini.exe
C:\Program Files\Video ActiveX Object\iesplugin.dll
The following files and Windows registry entries are marked as "unknown". Currently, the HijackThis Log Analyzer cannot provide required information on these items. The files and entries in the list below can be both malicious and fully legitimate. Because of this, please do not take any action! Wait for the forum responders or other forum users to provide you with necessary details and further instructions.

After going through all the steps, run another HijackThis scan and post a fresh log to the HijackThis analyzer. It is possible that some parasites your system was infected with were not removed completely and may restore themselves later.

Hi guitarplaya989
Please follow these steps:
1. Download Pocket KillBox or KillBox utility.
2. Use HijackThis to fix the following entries:
O3 - Toolbar: Protection Bar - {84938242-5C5B-4A55-B6B9-A1507543B418} - C:\Program Files\Video ActiveX Object\iesplugin.dll
O21 - SSODL: eitheror - {2016a466-91a2-43c6-97d8-2fd380f065ef} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\higehsg.dll
3. Now restart your system in Safe Mode. This step is very important!
4. Once in Safe Mode, use either Pocket KillBox or KillBox to delete the following files:
C:\WINDOWS\system32\higehsg.dll
C:\Program Files\Video ActiveX Object\pmmnt.exe
C:\Program Files\Video ActiveX Object\isamini.exe
C:\Program Files\Video ActiveX Object\isamini.exe
C:\Program Files\Video ActiveX Object\iesplugin.dll
Also, delete the folder C:\Program Files\Video ActiveX Object.
5. After you get done, restart your computer, run new HijackThis scan and post a fresh log here.
Never download those video codecs again! Most of them are fake! All they do is drop more malware to your system. If your media player cannot play certain video, download the free VideoLAN player. It plays all popular video formats. In most cases you won't need anything else.

Hi guitarplaya989
You are still infected. Please do this:
1. Use HijackThis to fix this entry:
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [DllRunning] rundll32.exe "C:\WINDOWS\system32\yhrlimbr.dll",setvm
2. Restart your system in Safe Mode.
3. Then use Pocket KillBox or KillBox to delete the following file:
C:\WINDOWS\system32\yhrlimbr.dll
4. After you get done, run new HijackThis scan and post a fresh log here.
You didn't answer my question. What is Spy Dog? |

I looked for those two files, but they weren't there...
I put up my newest log.
Spy dog went away, it was some "anti virus " program that was downlaoded on my computer telling me i was infected and to buy the program. I still however am getting popups especially for "drive cleaner" and "win cleaner"
any idea on how to get rid of that?
thank you for your help by the way
