I don´t know why Bobby isnt responding but fixed the problem with my computer by restoring my system right before my computer was infected and it works fine. |

I had the same problem, unable to run security software or even visit the sites where I could download/update them in order to get rid of AV09. I found the answer to mine on another site earlier today, maybe it can fix yours too. Here's what I found (I'm quoting directly from the cut/paste I printed at work today, though I don't remember the site or the author--Bork? Bonk?-- anymore, so I'm sorry I can't cite it for you):

Go to Start > Control Panel > System > Hardware > Device Manager > View > Show Hidden Devices.
Scroll down to "Non-plug and Play Drivers" and click the plus icon to open those drivers. Then search for "TDSSserv.sys".
Right click on it and select "Disable".
Note: If you select Uninstall it will reinstall itself again when you reboot the system. So DON'T select Uninstall.
Restart your PC.
You can now update your Antivirus/Malware/Rootkit softwares and the go.google rubbish will stop.
It's now up to the Anti-Virus/Malware/Spyware companies to make an effort to stop this, and not rely on simple basic home PC users like myself to save the world.
In simple terms, TDSSserv.sys is a service/server redirecting all software updates to 127.0.0.1 (your own computer) so they won't update. |
Again, I found this on another site, but it totally worked for me. I was able to run my security updates and the software I already had that wouldn't run finally ran. The new software I picked up to cross-sanitize would finally install, and I could get rid of the stupid AV09 after that. I hope it works for you too. |
