Have posted a thread in the spyware removal section with the following information but having read other peoples posts and having looked at the site further, I feel this is a better location for it and have removed it from spyware removal.
I returned to work yesterday (small business of 2 people) to find SpyAxe had installed itself on my computer. I have tried all manner of solutions and the manual removal also failed to work. Below is my HijackThis logfile and I would greatly appreciate any help that can be offered. Can anyone help?

I have done a number of things that have been suggested in previous SpyAxe threads and ultimately the smiRem task seemes to have resolved the issue (I couldn't find the svchosts.dll and ioctrl.dll files within my system32).

Congratulations! Your log is clean  .
The only program that you should uninstall is Viewpoint Manager. Although Viewpoint Manager isn't malicious, it is not recommended. This process and this registry key belong to it:
C:\Program Files\Viewpoint\Viewpoint Manager\ViewMgr.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [ViewMgr] C:\Program Files\Viewpoint\Viewpoint Manager\ViewMgr.exe
Another entry that you should fix is this:
O20 - Winlogon Notify: igfxcui - igfxsrvc.dll (file missing)
This is not a parasite. This key is simply not used anymore. |
