Yes, well, first off, thanks to this forum for assisting me at all.
My problem is that I've got something that is shutting down my spyware sweepers in mid scan. I believe it's related to a program I thought I removed, called AVnet, that claimed to be a spyware sweeper that snuck onto my comp.
I don't remember where I saw it, but there was an analysis that said that it's mostly masquerading as svchost.exe which makes sense, since I see 4 of them, only I know not which is the real one, one takes up 200 b, 26kb two others take up about 1kb.
I have Search and Destroy, as well as Malware-Bytes, but neither are allowed to finish. after I re-install it, I get a message saying that I don't have permission to access it.
I also have Process Explorer up and running if that helps.
I'm rather novice in these parts, and would appreciate any assistance. |

I definitely had some stuff from it on my comp, which I deleted from the registry, but I'm not certain what the program it is that I need to manually shut off, to get Malware-Bytes to load properly. |

Hi,
have you tried to run MalwareBytes in safe mode? |

that's next up, suppose I should've tried that earlier now that I think about it...
thanks
update: nope, can't run Malware Bytes in safe mode.
I renamed the setup file, and the actual .exe file and still nothing
also, it seems to affect any games I play, in that, it's only played in a window on the screen, instead of full size |
