Hi, Zibrahead. Welcome to 2-Spyware.com forums!
Please follow these steps in order to get rid of the SpywareStrike infection:
1. Download the KillBox utility. Then download the smitRem tool and unpack its files into a chosen folder.
2. Navigate to Start > Settings > Control Panel and launch the Add or remove programs tool. Wthin the list of installed software find SpywareStrike and uninstall it by clicking on Uninstall or Change/Remove buttons. If there is no SpywareStrike entry, open the C:\Program Files\SpywareStrike folder and run the uninst.exe file. It is the uninstaller.
3. Now reboot your computer into Safe Mode. This step is very important!
4. Run the smitRem tool (execute the RunThis.bat file).
5. Now manuall delete the following files, if they still exist (you may need to use KillBox for this):
C:\WINDOWS\System32\mssearchnet.exe
C:\WINDOWS\System32\netwrap.dll
6. After you get done, restart your computer, run another HijackThis scan and post a fresh log here. |

Your system is still infected. Please follow these steps:
1. Launch Internet Explorer.
* Within it click on the Tools menu and then select the Manage Add-ons entry.
* This should open the add-on manager. Find the International add-on, select it with your mouse or keyboard and then check the Disable option located below. Press OK. This should disable the SpywareStrike-related malicious add-on.
2. Use HijackThis to fix the following entries:
R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Page_URL = about:blank
O2 - BHO: International - {e0103cd4-d1ce-411a-b75b-4fec072867f4} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\hp76A7.tmp
3. Reboot your system into Safe Mode.
4. You have to delete the following files:
C:\WINDOWS\system32\nvctrl.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\hp76A7.tmp
C:\WINDOWS\System32\netwrap.dll
5. Then restart your computer, run another HijackThis scan and post a fresh log here. |
