I was able to delete this crap using the manual instructions.

I had to boot in safe mode to delete stickrep.dll.

But now my IE is still defaulting to the spywarequake page.

I have reinstalled IE but it is still doing the same.

Any ideas?

Have you repointed internet explorer to look for your normal site,ie google??
once removing spyware quake iIE will not revert back to your original default page.

Of course I tried that.

Turns out there was one last reg key that needed deleting.

All is well. Finally!
