Zlob finally took over

Well, had Zlob on my PC for about a week and now it has finally prevented me from logging. I just a reboot after I login using ctrl-alt-del.

My issue is that I have no install disks for XP SP2. (My disks are at work until Monday) so I cant build the ultimate boot disk and correct the registry entry.

Anyone have another quick idea I could try? (in the boot arena)

Well,

After calming down I realized that I could access the registry from another computer that was in the same domain.

So after editing the registry settings and renaming the directory c:\WINDOWS\PreFetch to something else I could once again login. I am now doing a virus scan from safemode to see what it picks up. My definition file is no more than a couple of days old.

Scanning now.....
