Please follow these steps:

1. Download the smitRem tool and unpack its files to a chosen folder.

2. Download Pocket KillBox or KillBox utility.

3. Use HijackThis to fix the following entries:
O18 - Protocol: msnim - {828030A1-22C1-4009-854F-8E305202313F} - "C:\PROGRA~1\MSNMES~1\msgrapp.dll" (file missing)
O21 - SSODL: died - {7fa55359-7223-410f-bc82-efb3e3ded07f} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\gtpbx.dll (file missing)

4. Now restart your system in Safe Mode. This step is very important!

5. Once in Safe Mode, run the smitRem tool by executing the RunThis.bat file. The smitRem tutorial can be found here.

6. Then use either Pocket KillBox or KillBox to delete the following files:
C:\Windows\System32\duxzj.dll
C:\Windows\System32\eowygj.dll
C:\Windows\System32\gtpbx.dll
C:\Windows\System32\xtgwjrm.dll

7. After you get done, restart your computer, run new HijackThis scan and post a fresh log here.

Thank you for your help, GTO. Sorry it took me so long to get this done and respond. I'm still having troubles with things, and I've followed all of your advice.

Specific problems:

1. When I press control+alt+delete the window that it brings up is only the task box with an option to end task, switch to, or new task. There are no tab buttons across the top and no close option for the window at all.

2. Some software items freeze up and won't open.

Hi efrum.

Your last log looks clean to me. As for specific problems, it seems that they are not spyware-related. Try pressing CTRL + SHIFT + ESC instead of CTRL[ + ALT + DELETE. You can also press the Start button, launch the Run... tool, type in taskmgr and press enter. Please let me know if this runs Windows Task Manager.

Which programs freeze up and won't open? Can you name them?
