Hi Barros.

Use HijackThis to fix the following entries:
O2 - BHO: Yahoo! Toolbar Helper - {02478D38-C3F9-4EFB-9B51-7695ECA05670} - C:\Program Files\Yahoo!\Companion\Installs\cpn\yt.dll (file missing)

O18 - Protocol: msnim - {828030A1-22C1-4009-854F-8E305202313F} - "C:\PROGRA~1\MSNMES~1\msgrapp.dll" (file missing)

Everything else looks clean to me. Your system doesn't seem to be infected.

What do you mean by saying "my computer is acting wierd"? Can you describe any symptoms?

Hi GTO

something bad has badly happend, I restart my computer on safe mode, then I smitrem which opened the folder, and i click on every application on that folder to find out which one ran the aplication, on doing that there was one which was named replace, and then it said it replaced wininet.dll or .exe I dun remember, so I ran the scan and then later on the disk cleaner started, unfortunatly my wife turn off the computer without knowing there was a scan running, so later on I turn on my computer and I opened my user account and right after started there was a warning about Explorer.exe it said it falied to launch cause wininet.dll was not present, so after that my computer never started up to where I can start the windows it just frooze. I reallly need some help soon as possible thanks.

Hi Barros,

I see the problem you're having, the simples form on fixing this in my opinion is to download the Wininet.dll and saved it to an Jump Drive or a floppy disk.

After that Restart your computer at Safe mode With Command Prompt
Then press <ctrl> <alt> <del> to open task manager, use the task manager to extract the wininet.dll to c:\windows\system32, after that reboot your computer and it should be fine.

Hi Barros.

You can download the wininet.dll file from here.

As junior08jr8 already said, extract the downloaded archive and save it on a floppy disk. Then restart your system in Safe Mode and copy the wininet.dll file to the directory C:\WINDOWS\System32.
