There is a new trojan on the loose – VirusBurst. It began spreading just yesterday, but we already receive reports from people whose systems have been compromised.
By saying “a new trojan” we didn’t mean unseen, sophisticated or completely different parasite. VirusBurst is actually the same SpywareQuake risk. The only difference is name. Infection symptoms and payload are absolutely identical. VirusBurst continuously displays an annoying icon in the system tray, downloads the same named corrupt illegally distributed spyware remover, changes the Internet Explorer default home page and redirects the web browser to malicious sites.
