Very often computer security problems are linked with external sources. The most popular example would be hackers, but this can’t be taken as indisputable fact. It’s worth mentioning that computer virus can also be an inside job. We can consider the case of Fannie Mae. 35-year-old computer programer planted a computer virus that had destroyed very important information. The harmful action was executed the same day he was fired from the company. Despite this and many other facts, Rajendrasinh Babubhai Makwana was pleaded not guilty. It might be that Fannie Mae hasn’t revealed all the reasons of redundancy. However many people agree that similar actions have catastrophic consequences and must be considered as an act of terrorism.
