A new category has just been added to our Spyware Software section. It is called Parasite removal tools, the list of separate utilities designed to find and remove specific trojans worms, viruses, spyware or adware threats.
The difference between parasite removal tools and regular anti-spyware or antivirus products is that these tools are not full-scale protection programs, but quite simple, lightweight utilities used to remove only one threat and/or some of its variants. However, they already helped thousands of users, who have been hit by widely spread parasites like SpyFalcon or Vundo. Remember smitRem or VundoFix? These two are also parasite removal tools.
