Hello,
I can not do a thing to get rid of CouponDropDown. I searched the web looking for answers and tried several things that were recommended. I downloaded and installed Spy Hunter, and it has done me no good either.
I find no reference to it under ‘remove programs’, nor to I see it anywhere in Firefox, as any sort of Add-on.
I have also uninstalled Firefox and re-installed, with no positive results.
WinXP SP3. Help.
Steve
First thing you should know is that CouponDropDown is closely related to these programs that should also be uninstalled when trying to get rid of this adware: Online HD TV, PutLockerDownload, TornTV, Yontoo, 1ClickDown, 1ClickDownloader, FB Photo Zoom, GoPhoto.it, HDvid Codec, IB Updater, Incredibar Toolbar, OneClickDownload, OneClickDownloader. So, when trying to remove CouponDropDown, start its removal with these steps:
1. Click Start -> Control Panel -> Programs (or Add/Remove Programs) -> Uninstall a Program.
2. Here, look for Deal Fairy and its related applications, and select 'Uninstall/Change'.
3. Finally, click OK to save the changes.
In addition, fix each of your web browsers:
Internet Explorer:
Click "Tools" -> select "Manage Add-ons" and search for the entries that could be related to CouponDropDown. Disable them. Don't forget to change your start page if it has been altered by this adware.
Mozilla Firefox:
Click "Tools" -> select "Manage Add-ons" and disable CouponDropDown related entries. Also change your start page if it has been altered by this adware.
Google Chrome:
Click on a wrench icon -> select "Tools" and click on "Extensions". Locate CouponDropDown and other add-ons you don't know, select them and click on a trash can icon. Don't forget to change your start page if it has been altered by this adware.
Finally, check the system with SpyHunter, which is already on your computer, and make sure that your PC is free of CouponDropDown's leftovers.
