How to unblock PC from FBI virus/Department of Justice virus??
I have downloaded the Spy Hunter onto a USB flash drive with a different computer than the one infected with the Dept of Justice virus and plugged into the infected computer, I am in safemode dos prompt but I cannot get the file to open or run from the USB drive. I cannot get to Start as the page/block seems to keep me from accessing that, I believe the USB drive would be “D” drive but I cannot verify that. When I use “d:” command I get “the device is not ready”. I a not sure how to proceed from here?

Hello brianemcfarlane, nice to see you on 2spyware forum.
First of all, sorry for your virus. As we have noticed, such ransomware threats keep updating, so the most probable reason why you are blocked is that you have a new version of Department of Justice virus. However, you should definitely try these options:
1) Try to set your computer’s date to the previous.
2) Try to access other accounts on your Windows system. If one of such accounts has administrator rights, you should be capable to launch anti-malware program.
2) Try to deny the Flash to make your ransomware virus stop function as intended. In order to disable the Flash, go to Macromedia support and select ‘Deny’: http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/help09.html. After doing that, run a full system scan with anti-malware program.
If nothing happens, follow these steps:
1) Reboot you infected PC to ‘Safe mode with command prompt’ to disable your virus (this should be working with all versions of this threat)
2) Run Regedit
3) Search for WinLogon Entries and write down all the files that are not explorer.exe or blank. Replace them with explorer.exe.
4) Search the registry for these files you have written down and delete the registry keys referencing the files.
5) Reboot and run a full system scan with updated SpyHunter to remove remaining files.
Besides, if you are a paid SpyHunter’s customer, you should be capable to receive a help and have your virus removed by its technical support for free. For that, you should go to ‘Spyware HelpDesk’ section after opening a program.
If you need more details about Department of Justive virus removal, watch FBI virus removal video.
