Hello. I just got the FBI virus, and have been reading most of the success stories. I have tried these steps, but when I get my computer into safe mode, it comes on, I see my desptop icons briefly, then the FBI message maximizes and coves my whole screen before I even get a chance to do anything else, please help. What do I do? Thanks so much!
First of all we are very sorry for your virus. However, you can remove it if you know some special facts about it.
The main thing you have to do when having this virus on your computer is to unblock the PC. It can be done by following several different options, not only by getting on Safe Mode or Safe Mode with networking (in fact, many versions of FBi virus appear on these modes as well) So, try these options first:
1. Set computer’s date to the day when your PC was not infected by this virus. If the desktop becomes unblocked, scan it with a reputable anti-spyware.
2. Try to access other accounts on your Windows system. If one of such accounts has administrator rights, you will be able to launch anti-malware program and remove FBI virus.
3. Try to deny the Flash to disable your virus. In order to disable the Flash, go to Macromedia support and select ‘Deny’: http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/help09.html. After doing that, run a full system scan with anti-malware program.
