I got caught in the Internet Security scam. Purchased the program in my computer at work. Now they have my Credit Card number. Called my card company and they cancelled my card. Now the charges will be disputed. Also they gave me a number for victims assistant unit. What other bad consequences for his scam could result? should I get identity theft protection?

If you have already contacted your credit card company and disputed the charges, now you have to remove Internet Security from your computer. You should do that in order to prevent infiltration of additional cyber infections, such as trojans and worms, that may also be used for tracking you and stealing your personal information.
In order to remove Internet Security, you should use updated anti-spyware. Try scanning the system with FortectIntego that will detect this malware for you automatically. Make sure you upgrade these programs before running a full system scan to have the latest updates!
