I have been using Smilebox for many years and not had any problems but now I hear that this software is spyware, I only use the free version, can you please tell me if this program is indeed spyware, I have removed all of it from my system until I know for sure.

No, Smilebox is not a virus, malware, spyware, etc. It's a legitimate application, which can be used for creating invitations, slideshows, e-cards, scrapbooks and similar things. However, you should take into account and be prepared for several inconveniences that may be initiated by Smilebox. According to experts, it may show you commercial warnings, redirect you to unknown websites or simply slow down the system. That's why this application is usually called 'PUP" or potentially unwanted program'. If you didn't notice such activities, you can keep it on the system.

The response above is deliberately misleading. Those "inconveniences" are malware nightmare. It takes substantial effort to remove this from your system. Do not install it.
