Noptify is a internet tracking spyware. Once installed it keeps trying to access the Internet and send tracking logs on the use of the CD rom. Publisher claims that the program will be removed by itself after 20 restarts of your computer.

Noptify installs on startup. It's hiding and reinstalls even after in delete noptify.exe

That damned program took over my son's machine and was hogging over 80% of system resources before I could get it removed.
VERIZON should be SUED for invasion of privacy. If a hacker had done this they'd be FRIED!

March 25, 2004 - Verizon continues to distribute the Noptify.exe Adware / Spyware via the CD they are distributing with cell phone packages, and an individual will get little to no help from Verizon in the way of information for removing the spyware from an infected computer. When an individual contacts Verizon about the Noptify.exe file, Verizon acts like they don't know what you are talking about and denies the Adware / Spyware came on the CD, despite the fact the name of Verizon is located in the 'Properties" section of the Noptify.exe file. Verizon should take responsibility for their negative and reckless actions in regards to distributing the Noptify.exe file.
