What is 247tech.help?

247tech.help popups are used to promote a remote tech support service, which is “a complete one-stop solution for all of your computer related problems.” The service offers to speed up your PC by removing outdated registries, malwares, viruses, potentially unwanted programs (PUPs), and other files that are useless and raises suspicions. Unfortunately, the service is bogus and seems to be used for giving away money from gullible people. 247tech.help pop-up ads are caused by an adware-type program, which, of course, is misused by cyber criminals and used for wrong purposes. If you haven’t dealt with an adware-type program before, then you should keep in mind that freewares (download managers, PDF creators, media players, etc.) are commonly filled with various ad-supported extensions. Therefore, if you have started receiving 247tech.help ads or experiencing redirects to this domain, there is no doubt that you have installed a bundled freeware and failed to opt out of its ‘additional components’.

If 247tech.help pop-up virus infiltrates the system, it may inform you about such and similar issues:

No matter how convincing 247tech.help ads may seem, remember that it’s a tech support scam, which is aimed at earning $199 as soon as you dial the given number. Of course, you will understand that only the next month when you receive an extra big telephone bill. Be aware that all messages brought by this domain are fake and used only to scare you into thinking that your computer is seriously infected. However, the most important thing that you have to remember is that 247tech.help-related adware might be the only infection on your computer. In order to check that, we recommend using a reputable anti-spyware, such as Reimage.

How can 247tech.help hijack my computer?

As we have already mentioned, 247tech.help popups are inseparable from adware-type program, which may enter your computer via other freewares and sharewares. Therefore, you have to be extra cautious when installing free programs on your computer and check whether they are filled with ‘optional downloads’ or not. In order to do that, it’s a MUST to select Advanced or Custom installation option (in contrast to Quick or Basic) and carefully monitor the entire installation process. Review every check box and make sure that there are no browser add-ons, plug-ins, toolbars or extensions set by default. The most important thing that you have to do is to unmark ticks claiming that you agree to install additional components. You should accept to install only the freeware that you have selected; therefore, unmark programs, such as Steel Cut, DealRunner, Product Promoter, Surf Canyon, etc. despite of how useful they may seem. If 247tech.help redirects and ads have already started bothering you, don’t waste your time and fix your PC right now.

How to remove 247tech.help virus?

Have 247tech.help ads already bothered you? If yes, then we recommend you to run a full system scan with a reputable anti-spyware and remove 247tech.help virus automatically. Of course, you may try to remove 247tech.help-related adware manually; however, since you are not sure what specific adware causes popups, it may be difficult to detect it.
