ACXInstall is a malicious ActiveX control that silently gets into the system while visiting some insecure web sites. It downloads from the Internet and installs arbitrary software without asking for user permission. ACXInstall usually drops dialers that connect a compromised computer to the Internet through premium rate phone numbers. These dialers provide access to mostly pornographic web resources.
