well, as the title states the deinstaller did not show up in my "deinstallation list" or what it is called in english. Also, when I tried to remove the bugger manually (2 different tasks running) they were not killable with the windows process manager. I had to use a 3rd party process manager to kill the tasks. But then when I killed one task the other one would reload it again (actually I wonder why this technique is used so seldom, it is ancient). What bugged me most is that the program seemed to check the registry all the time to (dont know in what time intervals, I forgot to run regmon before removal) and when the autorun registry key was deleted it would reset it.

Now for manual removal (WinXP professional) I did rename the both executables in the AdTools directory, killed the tasks with a 3rd party process manager and then removed all the adtools entried in the registry - finally I deleted the AdTools folder. I guess you better run the removal software in any case....
