ANG Antivirus 09 is a rogue anti-spyware application. Likely, this parasite is a clone of another rogue called Antivirus 2010 or Total Virus Protection. ANG AntiVirus can be installed through fake online anti-malware scanners or it can be also advertised by trojan viruses, which display fake security notifications and false scan results to make user think that his computer is seriously infected. After the fake scan, cyber-thieves allege that user should download and install ANGAntiVirus 09 in order to protect his computer.

Once installed and active, ANGAntivirus09 is configured to start automatically when system starts up. It performs fake system scan and displays various bogus infections that cannot be removed unless the full version of ANG Antivirus 09 is purchased. Actually, these infections are legitimate files being falsely detected as malware and shouldn't be removed, otherwise PC won't operate properly. ANG Antivirus 09 can also decrease system performance or even hijack the browser. As you can see, the main goal of this rogue is to trick the user and steal his money.
